Taylor Swift to launch new mobile app
It has been expected that it would be sooner rather than later that Taylor Swift, an award-winning singer, musician and songwriter, would follow some of her contemporaries and launch her own mobile game, joining Kim Kardashian, as well as Katy Perry, Britney Spears, Nicki Minaj and Demi Lovato, all of whom have followed the reality star’s foray into mobile gaming.
Taylor has decided to team up with Glu, the creators and brains behind Kim Kardashian’s mobile game, commenting Chairman and CEO Niccolo de Masi said: “I am thrilled to welcome Taylor to Glu’s family. He went on: “Bringing with her over 227 million social followers I am thrilled to welcome Taylor Swift, an award-winning singer, musician and songwriter, to Glu’s family, we understand that Taylor and her global fan base expect a new and diversified mobile gaming experience.”
The company is undeniably successful and the app created for Kardashian has been a huge success generating close to $127m of revenues since its release in June 2014, there is no reason to suppose that the app for Taylor will not be as equally successful. This latest adventure comes after she admitted she had no intention of planning out her career moves for 2016; not knowing what is next is what Taylor believes in right now. She said: “I’ve always planned my career a year or two in advance, and I refused to do that this time.”
One thing that is planned though is that Taylor’s app is due for global release later this year; 227 million social fans will be looking forward to that.
